The School of Arts and Cultural Heritage was founded based on the university's Faculty of Art History.

School students receive fundamental and relevant knowledge in the field art history, museums and curatorship, they can also join in a modern technological environment, develop skills to interact with representatives of other sciences. Two scientific and technical research laboratories organized within the School serve these purposes.

The School's programs are aimed at training a new generation of scientists and practitionerswho are able to teach and conduct research, create scientific and popular science projects, and work in museums and other cultural institutions.

Courses are being built on a problematic basis and are focused on asking questions and discussing them.

Training includes llectures, seminars, workshops in the halls and vaults of the State Hermitage Museum and other museums in St. Petersburg, as well as individual work.

Undergraduate and graduate students learn to write scientific texts and present them to colleagues at seminars and conferences, work with literature and archival materials, use modern analytical tools and digital technologies to your research goals.
